What is eternity exactly?  Does it exist outside of time, or is it the moment of "now" stretched on indefinitely?  Will we be simultaneously everywhere within eternity, every when?  No beginning, no end?  Like that ring mentioned in Madeleine L'Engle's book?  Maybe it doesn't matter what intellectual concept, careful crafting of thoughts and words.

Maybe once we experience it
we'll know what it is
like chocolate chip cookies
snow
regret.
And maybe at that point
we'll be different.
It'll still be us
there will be no discontinuity
but a seed
if it fulfills is purpose and reaches maturity
is now a tree
beyond a winter and a spring
centuries
sleeping its life away
eternal at last
A little prose with some poetry. I noticed that the way I phrase my thoughts, leaving pauses between ideas and breaths can be like poetry if it's formatted a certain way. I usually just write prose, but maybe I can use this technique to branch out a little.
